Player | Kokua Volleyball Club
Daniel was nominated TWICE by two different people for the month of January!
Daniel is one of the kindest, most genuine young adults I have had the pleasure of knowing. Daniel is a true leader on and off the volleyball court. His dedication to academics and developing his volleyball skills, while also committing time to his community is inspiring. Daniel is positive, an amazing communicator, and is always willing to jump in and assist when needed. Daniel is well respected by his peers, coaches, club director, and pretty much anyone who crosses his path.
Daniel represents the Spokane volleyball community at events by being a constant display of good sportsmanship, he takes the time to not only create relationships with his opponents but also their families.
Daniel has volunteered to coach the junior high girls volleyball team at St. Mary school and tutors in the academic success center at Gonzaga Prep, while also working a part time job and maintaining his GPA. Daniel discovered his passion for volleyball several years ago and went all in, working with his club to help expand boys/men’s volleyball in our region.
THANK YOU DANIEL for sharing your positivity, encouragement of others & hard work on the court and in the classroom!
Coach | Idaho Impact U14 Boys Team
Coach Tammy had a dream. Tammy worked hard to make her dream a reality. Although, she dearly misses and loves coaching her girls teams, she has found her true passion in coaching the boys. As we all know the boys interested in boys volleyball is not exactly where we want it to be just yet. However, each and every boy player and family member that walked into the gym to meet Tammy, walked out of the gym, finding a new passion in life. The sport of Boys Volleyball. Only a couple of her players have ever played before, the rest of her team tried it out, and just couldn't get enough. Tammy has taught them the love of the game along with the basic skills to grow their love. Tammy has worked many hours to get this team up and running, finding gym space for them, finding tournaments, scrimmages for them, and their success on the court is a result of her love and hard work.
Tammy has coached at the club level for girls for many years. She brought forth the idea of a Boys team this year and ran with it. Digging in and spending a lot of her time to put together a successful boys' team. I watch them at practice and each and every Boy has a huge smile, and walks out of the gym feeling bigger than when they walked in. The parents are phenomenal, helpful, and so excited for the growth they see. Nothing I love more when you are scared to take the leap, but you do, and the payoff is huge for our youth boys in our area! We are extremely thankful and grateful for what Tammy provides to our boy's youth community.
Growing the boys game is a labor of love and we are grateful to Tammy that she is spreading her joy of the game to our boys community. THANK YOU Tammy!
