The Evergreen Region encompasses 3 different state, Washington, Idaho and Montana. With the current public health crisis and ever changing operating climate for businesses the ERVA Staff & Board Members are working behind the scenes on developing a plan for the upcoming club season. 

We are gathering information on each State's Phase status and guidelines for Safe Reopening for Recreation/Sports. The Washington Interscholastic Activities Association (WIAA) have published adjusted calendars for athletics in the 2020-2021 school year. The association has moved volleyball to the Spring for a competition season beginning in early March and lasting through early May.

The Idaho Interscholastic Activities Association (IHSAA) & Montana High School Association (MHSA) will be conducting their volleyball seasons during the traditional time frame, Fall 2020.

ERVA will be working with our Board of Directors, Junior Girls’ Committee, Junior Boys’ Committee, as well as our numerous other stakeholders to determine a programming schedule for the upcoming year.  Our office staff has already been in the process of vetting different options for our season. 

Member clubs are required to develop and implement Return to Play Guidelines for their club based on their State and Local guidelines. Each club has been provided the USAV Return to Play Guidelines as a baseline for safe return to play. The USAV Guidelines are not mandates but recommendations for development of Return to Play Guidelines. Clubs must incorporate their local and state guidelines into their Return to Play policies and we encourage each club to work with their local health department to develop safe protocols. 

ERVA remains committed to the health and safety of all our members, and will be making that the number one priority as we formulate programming options for the upcoming season.
