Debbie Spray - SafeSport Director

Debbie Spray has been our SafeSport Director since the creation of the position at ERVA back in 2015.  She has attended several SafeSport clinics and recently participated in a National program that addressed ‘Investigation in the Workplace’ which offered valuable insights as to how we can best implement SafeSport policies and procedures in our Region.  Debbie is a graduate of Gonzaga University where she studied Sociology and began her career as a club volleyball coach.  

Since then she has worked as a Casemanager/Therapist with a Treatment Foster Care program in Spokane serving child abuse victims and perpetrators before becoming a full time stay at home mom of three.  However, her passion for volleyball could not be stopped, and eventually brought her to work as a high school varsity coach for several area High Schools, Junior High and club programs in the ERVA.

  Debbie has two daughters who have also played (and officiated!) volleyball at the club, school and collegiate level.  In the past 6 years, she has broadened her volleyball profile even more by training to become a State rated and Regional Official, as well as earned her CAP ll and IMPACT Instructor Certifications.  But during the snowy months of January and February, you will find Debbie in her happiest of places coaching her beloved “Little Bitties” volleyball program for our youngest ERVA members.
