Evergreen Region Information
PURPOSE OF THE EVERGREEN REGION The purpose for which this Corporation is organized is to foster the development and growth of local, regional, national and international amateur volleyball competition. In furtherance of this main purpose, the following sub-purposes are set forth: a) To teach the sport of volleyball to children and adults by holding clinics, conducted by qualified instructors in schools, playgrounds and parks;b) To aid in the development and growth of volleyball throughout the region including player development, coaching development, officiating, and scouting of the game. c) To provide practice volleyball sessions, classroom lectures, seminars and clinics through which selected trainees may be schooled in coaching, playing, officiating and scouting techniques; d) To foster and conduct local, regional, and national amateur volleyball competitions for youth, juniors, and adults throughout the region; e) To act as the official representative of USA Volleyball within an area designated as the Evergreen Region; f) To select and train suitable candidates in the international competitions. g) To supervise and monitor the conduct of those involved in volleyball within the region. h) To foster and conduct amateur volleyball programs between the United States and foreign nations for the exchange and training of suitable candidates in the techniques and practices of volleyball. |

Elections
will be administered by the Elections Chair who is appointed by the Commissioner.
The Elections Chair may select any ERVA member in good standing who is not a member of the Executive Committee or a monimee for an Executive Board position to assist with the elections process. The executive committee, except for the Commissioner Emeritus, is elected by a simple majority vote of the eligible voting members and begin serving the term Fall 2010. |

* Balloting will occur electronically (online)--USAV number, phone number, and e-mail address will be used as verification. * Voting members must be ERVA members who are 18 years old 30 days prior to the first day of voting. |

All
members who meet the requirements for the positions listed and wish
to run for an office may submit their names to the Elections Committee
through the Evergreen Region office. |
Indications of interest from interested persons AND photo must be received by 4 pm - May 18 and may be submitted by regular mail, electronic mail or personal delivery. |
The Elections Committee will verify the qualifications of the interested persons and all qualified persons’ names will be placed on a ballot with their submitted statement and photo. |
